School Uniform
Here at Sycamore Short Stay School, we believe that appearance is important, so we ask that all students who attend this school, follow the school’s uniform code.
School Uniform Code
Plain white shirt, polo shirt or t-shirt
Plain black / navy / grey jumper or sweatshirt
Black / navy / grey trousers or skirt (no jeans, jeggings, leggings or tracksuit bottoms)
Black footwear, no logos/colours
Because our pupils may not be with us for long, our uniform requirements are flexible with the aim of reducing costs for parents as many items are generic and required at other schools too.
Uniform non-compliance
Students are given 1 warning if they are wearing incorrect uniform and parents/carers will be contacted. If students arrive incorrectly dressed again (after they have been given a warning) You will be contacted by the Deputy Head and we will ask you to bring the correct uniform to school to enable them to change.
We are of course aware that unforeseen circumstances can occur and applying these rules is not always possible. We would appreciate if a note could be sent or a conversation made with the school before your child arrives, in order for the day to start in the most positive way.
Please note...
Make-up and jewellery must be minimal and discreet, and removed as appropriate for specific activities (with no visible piercings except for small ear studs, and no false/long nails/bright nail varnish)
No designs or logos are allowed on clothing / footwear, and no hooded tops are allowed other than on outdoor coats.
